International Space Station is at risk for weapon test debris

NASA said that the International Space Station is at risk because of the Russian weapons test this week. Russia has recently launched a missile to destroy a satellite that was orbiting just above the space station.

NASA said that the international space station and its seven residents are in threat due to this mission of Russia. As a precaution, several compartments of the space station have been closed.

The U.S. Space Command is tracking than 1,500 fragments of the destroyed satellite. But some pieces are too small to see. NASA and the State Department have denounced the missile strike of Russia as it puts several satellites and China’s space station at risk.

NASA is trying to review an upcoming spacewalk and other station operations to reduce the risks. NASA has also planned to continue its inspection for potential damage in satellites.
